Most of you looking at this website are likely taking pictures at some level or another. You may even be getting some nice images and your "friends and family" think that you should be shooting for National Geographic! If you want to get to the next level you need someone that can help show you were you are going wrong. You need to take a photography workshop.

Workshops are one of the best, if not the best way to improve your photography skills. At a workshop, you will get hands on help with everything from setting up your camera to editing the images. Having someone that can offer you helpful, unbiased and constructive criticism will help you consistently take better images.

Taking better pictures is the goal of all photographers. This doesn't mean that you want to be a professional. Everyone from "Point and Shoot" users to serious amateurs will all benefit from these classes. As a wokshop these "classes" focus on hands-on experience. We will go out and take pictures using your current skill level as the starting point. Then, we will take some time in front of the computer to look at and assess the results. By the end of the workshop, you will be a better photographer.

Send me an email or watch this site for updates. I am also available for private sessions or email critiques of your images. Let's talk about it as I am sure that I can help you take better pictures.

I'm not much for rules, but there are some things that we all need to understand. You can read and download them here.

2007 Workshops

Ft. DeSoto Park in Florida

Ft. Desoto is a local wonder for photography and is easily one of the top ten places to photograph in all of Florida. It is especially productive for birding with nearly 300 species of birds seen inside the 11oo acre park. Since this park is in my backyard so to speak dates are nearly always available. You can get more details of this offering here.

October 25-28: Raptors!
The ultimate raptor shoot in Colorado. We will photograph 15-20 species of hawks, eagles, owls and falcons with highly trained and well known falconers. This is really a unique experience for anyone interested in an up close and personal encounter with these magnificent birds! And umm, who isn't excited about that?

This trip will be limited to 8 guests and there are 6 slots still available. Send me an email for the details and to reserve your spot.
